A few European settlers met at Kericho Sports Arm Hotel in the mid-1920sto discuss ways of setting up a golf course in the then Kericho District (now Kericho County) that could assist them to get involved in the game at their leisure time. It was a sweet decision by these individuals who eventually identified a small but steeply and hilly area where they built a small golf course at the present location of Kericho Police Station.
And with the actualization of the plan, a number of European golfers enrolled into the club and the number increased rapidly.
